Jury Deliberations & Verdict

After the judge instructs the jury on the law, the jury will retire to the jury room to begin deliberations. Before the deliberations begin, the judge will hear from the attorneys regarding objections to the jury instructions. The judge will also direct the attorneys to determine which evidence goes back with the jury during deliberations. Many judges also send out a copy of the jury instructions. Howard v.
